3x PERfourMER MKII videos

Thanks to social media platforms we can see and listen to what our customers create using VERMONA gear. We are astounded about what is possible with the instruments in your hands.

We’d like to share three PERfourMER MKII videos that we discovered lately. And of course, we are aware that there are a lot of more videos worth to be watched and listened to.

  • Patrick Jordan made an impressing track, only using the PERfourMER MKII without adding any effects. Click here to go directly to the video on Youtube.
  • Pablo K made a track in combination with some other gear (i.e. the Kick Lancet). Here you can go directly to the video.
  • Zaphyd calls his video „Vermona Perfourmer mk2 demonstruction“ and gets some really crazy sounds out of it. You can find the video here.

Enjoy watching and listening.

twinCussion - video and SOS review

We made a little video (1) that gives you some visual and audible impressions of our latest eurorack module: twinCussion.

As you already may know, twinCussion (2) is a twofold percussion module featuring analog oscillators, super-fast envelope generators and VCAs as well as plenty of in- and output jacks.

twinCussion also made it into the current October issue of British Sound On Sound magazine (3). So along with our video you can read what Paul Nagle thinks about the 24-HP-eurorack-module.

Enjoy watching, listening and reading.

In & Out

In the video above DivKidVideo explains the features of our twinOUT-module - Thanks! But why are modules like the twinOUT or the TAI-4 necessary. Why not just using a suitable cable to connect the modular system to the outside world?

VERMONA Drums for everyone

We currently offer three tone generators, specialized in creating drum- and percussion sounds. Each with its individual strengths and audience. We will take a closer look at DRM1 MKIII, Kick Lancet and twinCussion and give you some Youtube recommendations for rainy days.

DRM1 MKIII - the classic

It all began with the DRM1 MKIII. With its eight instrument channels it is the flagship upon the VERMONA drum-synthesizers. It offers a complete set of features:

  • a KICK channel for all kinds of bass-drum-sounds
  • two DRUM channels for toms, woodblocks, metallic FM-percussions and much more
  • a MULTI channel for more complex percussions like cowbells, woodblocks, different kind of pings, pongs and zaps etc.
  • a SNARE channel - you got it - for snares
  • two HI HAT channels for all kinds of cymbals and hats in two versions: open and closed
  • and finally a CLAP channel for … claps

All instrument channels can be triggered simultaneously by MIDI or analog GATE-signals (1).

Each parameter has its own controller. This not only makes spontaneous interactions possible, it is almost impossible to resist playing around with all these knobs. The DRM1 MKIII is a complete sound solution for vital rhythms.

Gaz Williams gives a detailed introduction in his video Exploring the VERMONA DRM1 MKIII.

Kick Lancet - the convenient specialist

The intention of this little machine is already revealed by its name: kick drums. Kick Lancets sound engine is based on the DRM1 MKIIIs KICK channel, mixed up with a little bit of DRUM channel, where it got its FM capabilities from.

That’s what it makes so flexible. Beside various types of kick drums it can create different kinds of metallic and wooden percussions, toms and much more.

Another highlight are its trigger possibilities. Beside MIDI and GATE it offers a very versatile audio-trigger input.

Kick Lancet is a great addition to soft- and hardware drum machines as well as an inspiring source for your own sample library.

We have not one, not two but three video recommendations for Kick Lancet:

twinCussion - the euroracker

twinCussion is the latest addition and brings VERMONA percussions into eurorack. Modular systems have their own requirements and challenges. That’s why we started from scratch when designing the module.

It offers two sound engines that can work separate or in common. Thus it can create up to two individual sounds ranging from kick drums to snares to hi hats. twinCussion is equipped with lots of in- and outputs to expand its possibilities with any modules you like.

Our Youtube recommendations… oh. twinCussion is brand new and we couldn’t find any video in the vastness of the internet.

Would you like to be one of the first persons presenting your twinCussion? We would be delighted to watch and recommend your video.

ÄTNA - Walls with Kick Lancet

ÄTNA from Dresden are Inéz and Demian Kappenstein. We were impressed by their song “Walls” that demonstrates their musicality and strong sense for sound atmospheres. We are looking forward to the release of their debut-EP coming in September this year.

Nice side effect: In the video to the song you clearely can discover Kick Lancet in action.

fourMulator video again

At first glance, the fourMulator is a well-structured, four-channel LFO module with handy knobs and a lot of connectors. Of course, that’s what it is! With its extensive sync- and trigger-features it is a creative and complex sequencer as well.
In our latest video we explain the fourMulator’s basic functions and show how you can use it as control center for beats and melody.
